Second Chronicles, chapters 22–26, talks about the life and legacy of three kings whose reigns started well but didn’t end well. They represented three generations that fell by the same mistake and crippling character trait called entitlement. Due to their pride, they pushed away and even killed counsel and advice. They forgot about the crown they wore and the covenant that was connected to it but gave much attention to the endeavors (trophies) that they obtained. The cycle could have been stopped, but none of the three stood up, cultivated a servants’ heart to break the generational curses and patterns of behavior that were destroying their family. Will you the one that discontinuities the cycle and changes the trajectory of your family?
